Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked AustrianBC Vienna (8-14) edged at home 7th ranked Serbian Borac (7-16) 84-81 on Thursday. Vienna made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American-Guinean guard Souley Boum (190-1999, college: Xavier) who scored 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 16-for-16 from the free throw line !!!). Lithuanian forward Simas Jarumbauskas (200-2000) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Josh Pierre-Louis (193-2001, college: UCSB) produced 22 points and guard Aleksa Uskokovic (189-1999) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Vienna maintains fifth place with 8-14 record. Loser Borac CA keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost.
